What he and others are missing is that, thanks to Trump cutting funding to FEMA and other groups, no federal money would pay for the damage done in LA...unless it was the Feds who damaged it such as heavy vehicles tearing up roads or blowing holes through walls.

Trump nationalizing the National Guard and the Marines also means federal dollars AKA US taxpayer dollars, not just Californians.

So far, not much damage has been done. If a lot of damage is done in the future, somehow I doubt trump will pay for it. Maybe California could sue for the money.

Who paid for it? The states and local taxpayers. By federalizing this, Trump is putting the cost on the backs of all US taxpayers.

Question: How much will these rioters and looters cost businesses, insurers, and the government in property damage, arrests and confinement of participants who are violent law breakers, and in law enforcement overtime because they turned out in mass to protest arrest and eventual deportation of criminals who are illegally in the US?
