You make no sense; sorry. We have made a lot of progress since the days when job ads specified "white men only" ... and that's been through a whole lot of legislation. Progress can be made fast, without having to wait for the glacial pace of generations passing.

Hard work meant nothing when people would just not hire you because you were female or black; took legislation to stop blatant discrimination. Or remember when black people and jews couldn't be admitted to certain colleges? That also was changed bluntly. Of course, there's still discrimination, although more subtle. That's where affirmative action programs come in- if you end up with 95% white college, you're probably discriminating.

Guess what? Asian stereotypes tend to be skewed positively. In fact, Asians in America make more per capita than Whites. But 80 years ago they were good for no more than pounding railways. Japanese during WWII had their homes striped from them. They didn't wish themselves a better life. They didn't grab their crotch and claim to suddenly not have a negative stereotype. They worked hard.
The problems for every cultural group is rooted in history and is often complex, but the old American Dream of upward mobility is there for those who suit up and reach for it.

No, it's not. For those life time farmers, things aren't getting any better, especially in our current economy. The same thing could be said about children from many inner-city schools, or broken families. And for single parents, the disabled, those lacking an education, or now that there really aren't any good jobs available, your typical, above average college grad.

From my observation, all of them. Comparing the plight of the Asian to Black men, women and children who were beaten or killed by their masters, sold as property, bred as animals, husband, wives and children split up and sold never to see each other again, shows a great lack of education. The Asians were discrimated against, had horrible working and living conditions and were paid poorly for their labors, but their history is nothing compared to the slaves.
