As you well know, COBRA is the most expensive way to continue coverage. I believe you keep the same policy that you had with an employer, but you pay the full price? ACA plans would be much more reasonable, if 60% of the country's states, coupled with Republicans in Congress, hadn't worked tirelessly to kill the law.We are about to go on that beginning next month; our current insurance through husband's COBRA benefit expires at the end of this month. We had been paying $1009/month for it since he retired in 7/2016; they jacked the premiums up to $1336 beginning January 1st! With the ACA we will be paying a bit over $100, for essentially the same coverage.
Thanks, Obama. lol
The idiot trump thought that by doing away with funding for subsidies, he would end the actual subsidies. What he did, was end Fed. funding to insurers who are required by law to offer subsidies. Congress will have to act in order to restore the funding that the idiot trump did away with, or put insurers out of business.
If Republicans would have worked with Democrats in order to build upon the foundation that ACA started, we'd be in a different place right now.
But everything is politicized, and the majority (including those on this board) know only what Fox tells them about insurance, and the ACA.
