I will go with 1. Don't know why anyone would endulge in the "bad," though. I am guessing, that is just some silly notion that the pursuit of happiness is necessarily hedonistic.

Things that end up hurting others can make you feel good for the momment.

Its a thoughtless life to live.

Like I said, the silly notion that the pursuit of happiness is simple hedonism.

If happiness were that simple there would be no pursuit, we would all attain it easily.

Happiniess that hurts others is easy to obtain. A more harmonious form happinness is quite a bit more difficult.

I voted for none of these options because none were worded in a way I could agree with.

And I made a distinction on the same part you did. Like I said, I can't see why anyone would indulge in the "bad" outside of mistakes.

There is no inherent "meaning" to life. An individual life at its onset is merely biological accident. It's unconscionably arrogant to assume anything else. Beyond that, once life has begun, it is as Diuretic said the individual's responsibility to fulfill one's potential. We create and derive our own meaning in life.

There's a perfect example of something bad that makes one feel good.

You could have selected option 5 and expressed yourself any way you liked.

Once again! LOL

It is unconscionably arrogant to dismiss the beliefs of others in the assumption you have the right of all things.

Not really...............

Wow, 42 seems to be very popular at this site. I fail to see how this has to do with causing pain to others?

"I am but a simpleminded man, living in a complex world, seeking even more complex answers to yet even more complex questions".

I would think if you believe in an afterlife that would shape how you think about the meaning of temporal life. Look, I know that's blatantly obvious but I never said I was an original thinker. I specialise in shallow. :clink:
