Darla is NOT a dumb bitch. I don't care that she disagrees with me with the very core of her being. I don't care if she never speaks to me again or defriends me in Facebook. She is not now nor ever has been a "dumb bitch".

I do not use that word as a noun. For the bulk of my time here Darla and I have been friends and mostly allies. If Recent topics have hurt that I truly mourn that loss. It will not change my views, but I will miss the "relationship" we once had.

Your divorce was extremely unfair if here were no children, even with children I have never heard of a decision that was this one sided. My two friends recently split from their husbands, both stay at home wives, they got half of the assets and no alimony. The other friends with children, split assets and custody. Alaska is a no fault divorce state. My other friend, hubby got custody of the child and there were no marital assets.

That was my decision Rana. When I consulted my attourney and gave him a list of our shared assets we only had about $20K in assets and far more in liabilities (i.e. the house). My attourney advised, "Son, let her have it. Just get one with your life!" It was sound advise and I heeded it. My ex was cooperative too, as long as she got title to the house and cars (and the payments) she was happy. So we both signed off on a no fault divorce and saved a ton of money on lawyers.

Thanks, so it was a mutual decision and you didn't get screwed by the court, you agreed to the terms. Thnks for your honesty.

I didn't see the post so I can't say how I would have commented on it other than going on what others have said. As for my own world you're quite correct. I do have different opinions from the majority especially concerning sex. I recall growing up seeing neighbors walking cows down the road past our home from one field to another for grazing and seeing children without any shoes. When I asked my parents why they didn't have any shoes they explained to me their religion encouraged them to have so many children they couldn't afford to look after them properly.

Then there's the story about a teen girl giving birth in a school toilet and saying she hid the pregnancy by starving herself because she didn't want to break her father's heart by telling him she got pregnant. What type of upbringing was that? Imagine the psychological effect on that girl for the rest of her life. And the other teens we read about who threw their babies in trash cans and never told their parents. And women who have been humiliated when breast feeding their young, be in a food court or on a plane.

What the hell is wrong with the world? Where do these barbarians come from?

Absolutely. In fact I was stunned when my lawyer told me to get on with my life. He then said "Hell you'll spend more on me then what you have in equity." I was like "Damn...an honest lawyer!" So no I didn't get screwed by the courts. I got screwed.....but not by the courts. LOL

Again, no. Here is why. Prosecutors will tell you that if they ever prosecuted a woman for making a false report of D.V. and having someone falsely arrested, it would discourage other battered women from ever calling 911.
