With his violent record and him getting into a car a speeding away...he was a threat of serious physical harm, either to the officer or to others! He would have ran over anyone to get away, could have taken a hostage etc

The POS is dead and will not harm anyone ever again!!!!!

I didn't miss anything.

His violent record is not a valid legal reason to use deadly force.
His being in a car is not a valid legal reason to use deadly force.
His driving away from officers is not a valid legal reason to use deadly force.

All the things you suggest he "could" do are not a valid legal reason to use force. There has to be specific actions that can be shown to have occurred that can be articulated to be a threat of serious harm. Speculation about things he could do is not a valid reason.

I suggest you go read the actual court case instead of relying on wikipedia for your legal reasoning.

Thus, if the suspect threatens the officer with a weapon or there is probable cause to believe that he has committed a crime involving the infliction or threatened infliction of serious physical harm, deadly force may be used if necessary to prevent escape, and if, where
