USFREEDOM posted here that you can buy health insurance cheap at Wallgreens.

Then it occurred to me that the people who are arguing against health insurance reform are clearly not even aware of what the hell they're arguing. USFREEDOM911 clearly doesn't understand what health insurance even is. And these people don't have any idea either. Zoom to 4:30.

Basically, they ask, "Who here opposes any government run health care?"

Everyone raises their hands.

Then the Rep. asks, "Who here is on Medicare?"

And about half of them raise their hands.

These people are so fucking clueless.

If it is only the right that is clueless and retarded why are we even having this discussion? The Democrats have the numbers to pass the reform they want. They can tell the right to take a flying leap.

... because there are enough retards to keep the process from moving forward. The six Democrats in the senate that are right wing enough are helping to hold up progress. It's possible they'll go nuclear, or do it in a reconciliation vote. But as long as the Republicans can filibuster, the Democrats need 60 votes to break it and get an actual vote on the legislation. Though, I think they'll tell you guys to shove it and do it through a reconciliation vote needing only 50 senators.

Seriously. Go ahead and list the complaints you hear most frequently on this site. Here are the ones I can recall immediately:

1) It's single payer
2) They're going to take away your choice of doctors
3) It's socialism (unlike Medicare, which the government better not get its hands on)
4) They're going to euthanize old people
5) They're going to outlaw private coverage

All of these are totally bunk, but no matter how many times you shoot them down they get repeated over and over because the people who repeat them aren't smart enough to understand they're being used.

I'm not sure what this has to do with WalGreens. I didn't hear them mentioned at all.

It has to do with the profound stupidity of the people who rail against Obama's healthcare reform. You are exhibit A because you think one can buy health insurance from Walgreen's. That means you have no fucking idea what health insurance is, and have no business having an opinion about healthcare reform for that reason.

He wasn't talking about health insurance, you dummy.

Uh, yeah he was.

I said do you know where I can get health insurance for $25 a month and he said Wallgreens.

True they could but where would that get you? Do you think Social Security would be as wildly popular as it is if it had not had bipartisan support? Democrats could have pushed that through with out bipartisan support.

Health care reform is something that has to occur as it affects us all. It's long term affectiveness, particularly where managing cost is concerned needs bipartisan support. I despair of the ideological divide but it needs to be bridged in some way of affect and implement this reform.

Ib1 barely pays more taxes than watergerber.
Funny how the most liberal spenders aren't paying shit in.

It has to occur because it effects us all? What kind of shit logic is that?

It won't be getting bi partisan support, so, do what you gotta do, loser.

Not really. They've been forced to pay for Medicare their entire working lives and now insist on getting the deal that they've been promised. I'm sure many of these folks are like me and would have opted out of Social Security and Medicare from the get-go if the could have but we didn't get that choice. *shrug*

The Gene Green Town Hall video and retarded question-answers is the newest talking point twittered out to the O-bots. I've addressed it at least twice on this board. These liberal 'tards can't even get their own original material. *shrug*

There are people who are saying things like keep your government hands off my medicare and, like Sarah Palin who talks about death panels. There were two repubs on Bill Mahr's show this weekend and they BOTH admitted that there was going to be no death panel and that old people weren't going to be allowed to die. In other words, that those claims are nothing more than fearmongering.

so, we have Goper's who are Dem. light who should just go over to the dark side and just become a Democrat..

and Bill Maher? please.

fear-mongering is what is going on with the Progressive right now..so you might not want to throw stones..

One of the GOPers was the Rep from Georgia. Hardly Dem light.
