Putin blatantly violates Minsk accord

I can't find anything in the new states' unilateral declaration of statehood to oppose. It's the will of their entire populations, for one. They have occupied nobody, subjugated nobody. They WANT to be closer to Russia.
It seems reading the Minsk agreement that they are closer to Russia. I think they would wish to be aligned with Ukraine, whose emerging “free” economy is growing at a faster clip than Russia?

The United States, folks might recall, recognized the unilaterally-declared ' State of Israel ' in somebody ELSE'S country in 1948.

Let's not let seven decades of hypocrisy get in the way of moral manoeuvres .

Haw, haw......................................haw.

Those parts of the Ukraine didn’t announce themselves independent

Putin declared them so

You are without a doubt a Russo bot hole

To the contrary, YOU have lost all credibility for supporting one while condemning the other. The pro-Russian Ukrainians, you may have noticed, are in their own country and have occupied nobody.

Those parts of the Ukraine didn’t announce themselves independent

I don't understand the why of his actions, and why now as well.

Putin has been explicitly clear for the past twenty years that the dissolution of the USSR was a tragedy, and his vision was a reunification of the Russian-speaking Slavic areas of the former Russian empire.

I think Putin reached his crossing the Rubicon moment. When Trump was in office, he didn't have to worry about Trump supporting NATO membership for Ukraine. Trump hated Ukraine.

Putin tried to intimidate NATO into concessions with his military mobilization, but not having received those concessions now it's at a point where he can't back down.

The weird thing about Putin's legacy, is that if he had left office in 2008 after his second term, he would have been considered one of Russia's greatest leaders in history. He was a competent bureaucrat who saved Russia from economic collapse and from turning into a failed state, and there were still some incipient democratic institutions in Russia in those years.

Normandy Format was Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France . Not the USA
We sent weapns instead of partkaing in talks

Minsk Protocol called for a cease-fire and removal of heavy weapons from Donbas
it was more hope then anything

lol.. Germany is literally out in the cold..they have been delaying certification for some weird intramural reason
Putin can just sell to China -insatiable customer as well as Asia

The Great Northern Route is just up and running.
Russia can live as an exclusive Asian power if the west shuns it

Then why are they attacking the Ukraine?

ROFL

the fruit of Biden and NATO intransigence. Zelensky owned US policy to Ukraine
Russia needs security guarantee -it was laughed off. who's laughing now?

And the People of the Ukraine didn’t want foreign boots on their soil

We honored their freedom

Putin is putting boots on their soil

He is not honoring their freedom

Then why are they attacking the Ukraine?
I dont think Putin will do so past the LDNR. If he does it's a major miscalculation on his part.
He'll be an occupying power over a hostile population - but that's a long way away eith way.

This is a chess game...see what the west counters before he moves again

I knew I could count on you and MAGA world to be cheering for Vladimir Putin.

I read an editorial by Kirill Rogov, a noted Russian political scientist, who maintains that an outright invasion of Ukraine will be an economic disaster for Russia, and which will have long term detrimental impacts to Russia's status for the remainder of the 21st century. Only 60 percent of Russia's exports are petroleum related, 40 percent are not.

How long has it been I have been telling people most of the right here are Russian bot holes folks?

They are openly siding with Russia over the entire western world here

These are Russians

Refusal to take Russian redlines seriously
Putin got out of the box, and can do so because China has his back
