You realize don't you that nearly half of the American population doesn't pay federal income tax. Please dont tell me you dont now that! Next the Nordic countries have a flat tax. Denmark's marginal tax rate is 60% and it applies to EVERYONE who earns more that 1.2 times the average income. The average income in the US as a comparison is $50000. So if we use denmarks model EVERYONE earning more than $50000 would pay a flat 60% of their income to taxes. You ready to pitch that to the American people?

Lets stay on topic. The countries I mentioned are socialist states, only their form of socialism is different that what you would find in a country such as Venezuela. Therefore you cannot make the broad statement that socialism is so terrible.

I just pointed out to you how the Nordic countries work. Are you prepared to tell Americans making more than $50,000 that they will ALL have to pay 60% of their income to the govt? Also those countries have a value added tax which is a sales tax on everything people buy. Again EVERYONE pays those taxes. In Norway sweden and Denmark the value added tax on all sales is 25%. When do you want to have Biden roll out that plan?

You are once again demonstrating ignorance. None of the Scandinavian countries operate in exactly the same way. Furthermore their comparable salaries are much higher than in the US. They do not have to worry about health care or education, all paid for by government. They ahave about the best standards of living in the world.

They do operate on the same basic principles high taxes on ALL income and high value added taxes. It doesn't matter how much you make when 60% is going to the govt. The left in this country shits their pants at flat tax yet I'm suppose to believe you are.suddenlynin favor of it because the Nordic countries do it? You're the ignorant one.

The question remains, which you are avoiding is, are you prepared to tell people making more than $50,000 that they will have to pay 60% of their income and a 25% value added tax to achieve that "highest standard of living..."? Yes or No? Simple question simple answer. Now answer it.
The Nordic countries are capitalistic. The people work, change jobs if they want, and live as we do. Go to the Ikea store. Buy a Volvo. The difference is they have universal health care and a better safety net. Socialism is a label that rightys affix to any program that helps the masses instead of the top 10 percent. It is a misuse of the term. But rightys are emotionally triggered by it.
