Mexico is poorer than the US due entirely to Leftist Socialist policies enacted by PRI over more than a century of one-party rule, retention of the Hacienda system, government corruption, refusal to allow foreign ownership of companies and land in Mexico, and a social system inherited from Spain that does nothing to produce ethics that would advance the country.

No, we don't. Contractors hire mostly legal immigrants since the illegals are only good for basic labor and the simplest tasks. Farming has become more automated and the number of jobs in agriculture are limited in any case. Today about 1.2% of the workforce works in agriculture. They may get used in that occupational field, but there isn't that much demand.

No, illegals are BAD for America. They commit far more crime as evidenced by their being in prisons at roughly triple their number in the general population, they ship billions of dollars out of the US and out of the economy to their home countries, generally do mediocre and inferior quality work, and depress wages in many fields that would otherwise have a higher wage without their presence.

Illegal immigration is a total loser.

Compare the infrastructure in your neighborhood with that of Guatemala, Honoduras, Belize, Venezuela. Even better, compare the infrastructure in a typical American "inner city" *wink wink* with that in one of the Central American countries where most of these guys come from. Which one do you think offers the better opportunity to find work, a decent place to live, plenty of food -- and no roving gangs and cartels beating and shooting and raping. Pick one. As bad as some of our urban areas are, they are paradise compared to where many of these human beings come from.

As far as our economy were they to vanish? Massive inflation, economic chaos, shortages, loss of tax revenue, companies closing for lack of personnel, personal services (housekeeping, child care, hospitality, nursing home staff) curtailed, crops rotting. Welcome to #MAGATParadise!
