Gonna have to drum something up for me.

I am in compliance with all the rules.

I can effectively argue any point I choose without getting personal.

It's easy with practice.

Just go after the subject. Forget saying anything about any other poster. Don't even worry about that, don't think about it, it's not your concern.

This is a place to share ideas.

Once you leave the insult contests behind, a higher level of online debating opens up for you.

It's all in how you look at this place and what you expect to get out of it.

Some people think they are going to win arguments, change minds, move the Earth. Some just have a giant chip on their shoulder just looking for somebody to tell off, someone to unload on.

That's just like a neon sign declaring vivid insecurity.

It doesn't have to be personal. This is actually a very impersonal medium. We don't get to shake hands, no hugs, no feel the warmth of another beating heart, or look anybody in the eye, no body language, no inflectiojn. No expression can be observed. It's all about what you write. Your posts are your character. You are your posts.

You post ugly, that's how you are perceived.

The good news is you control how you come across. You and only you have ultimate control over how you are seen. And your comments, even ones made in haste, will be here for a long time, for everyone to see. Wisdom says think carefully about what you post.

Some Trump supporters have swallowed the whole shtick, hook, line and sinker. And they have done everything in their power to give him a free pass. When it finally comes down to baring the truth about our president, if it is as ugly as it hints to be, some people are going to be hit with a ton of bricks when they realize they have been had.

I don't think that will come around easily. Some will remain in denial. Many will be greatly depressed if they learn that everything they have believed in is a lie.

I am flat amazed at how many people were once deficit hawks and now they just look the other way.

Do they think ignoring it will change the math?

That stinky tax cut for the rich was actually not very popular.

Ignoring the debt will not make it go away.

Chickens do come home to roost.

No price is a good deal when talking about selling your morals.

I'm not sure that it matters anymore.

One already cannot openly admit to supporting Trump at this point without being revealed as worthless trash.

Our real obligation is to figure out how to get rid of the trash.

I think this will happen:

1) Deny
2) Dismiss
3) Disassociation
4) Re-brand

I think Conservatives will first deny everything, then dismiss it by pretending they don't care because the economy is doing OK, but as soon as we hit the recession (which will happen next year), they're all going to disassociate from Trump, re-brand themselves as something else, and be struck with the same curious case of amnesia they had after Bush the Dumber left office.

imagine going to a site that you considered based on "white power" or naziism. you sign up, you post multiple times a day, sometimes in public, often on your phone. it's addicting to you, and you end up with almost 6k posts. does that make any sense what so ever?

If I actually went to a nazi site, I wouldn't be signing up, or posting. I would want nothing to do with any of that.

What can I say, I like Comedy, Comedic Relief and best of all ... Being Proven Correct.

But what Puzzles me is Moderating it ... what type of life is that? Does training and benefits come with that?

I dropped my niece off at daycare once, and the closest I could get was the crosswalk ... what a cluster-fuck.
