Question for The Left on JPP

The democrats will declare themselves masters of the universe while simultaneously screaming gerrymandering gerrymandering gerrymandering. Basically, same shit, different day.

The liberal Congress should do it often and with a large fanfare, that way they can show the voters how they truly are.

What will happen?--the same thing that happened when Republicans investigated Hillary's emails and Benghazi--nothing except a big waste of taxpayer time and money.

Maybe Trump will resign hoping to stay out of jail and face a trial he knows he would lose. It is possible they would let him, to keep from showing the dysfunction of his administration and the failures of the checks and balances.

If the establishment's real goal is to do what's right for America? And that could be supported by the Republicans too, for the most part. Those who wouldn't support it and couldn't be trusted would be the teabagger fraternity that are extremist batshit crazy anyway and are honest Trump supporters.

But it would need to be done in a way that wouldn't embarrass and cause damage to the Republican party. I'm thinking of a deal being made between Mueller and Trump in secrecy. I would suggest that Mueller has enough already to force Trump to step down for some other phony reason.

The only good argument against that happening is that Trump is a psychopath and one of those never accepts defeat. Could that factor be stronger in Trump's head than his caring about his son Donald and maybe the creepy son in law?

Anyway, it can't happen until it's time for declarations from Repub hopefuls for the job.

The difference is that the Repubs have been guilty of doing illegal things. Hillary was just political theater to harm her shot at the presidency. It was designed for that and worked.

But it will still be a waste of time and money. Congress cannot prosecute crimes.
