ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the attack. I have one question.
ISIS-K is the enemy of the Taliban. The Taliban has all routes to the airport closed or checkpointed. Then how did the sworn enemy of the Taliban get the explosives and arms past all the checkpoints to make the attack?
That is a million dollar question! But ask yourself this question first- How are any terrorist attacks in history successful?
Because I bet the answer is going to end up being the same!
All this terrorist needed was a space where a crowd of people were gathered that included American Soldiers.
This attack happened in a staging area outside a gate at the airport where American Soldiers were inspecting the paperwork and luggage, backpacks, and etc. of those that wanted through the gates to board planes. These terrorist waited until they were close enough to the American soldiers, and in the middle of a large crowd of people, where the soldiers were about to inspect their backpacks when they blew themselves up!
So you said- How did they get through? They didn't get through! They blew themselves up before getting through in a staging area.
Now, they did get through the Taliban checkpoints- BUT THE TALIBAN ARE NOT INSPECTING BACKPACKS!
Have you seen any Taliban sweeping people for explosives at any of their check points? I haven't!
Perhaps this is what they will start doing now! And would have been the only way to have totally prevented this attack!
