We have a different view of sadam (to use the Bush pronounciation) ... beside sady and komy both having gandious ego's about power ... the shia/sunni factor was alive and well. And unless I am mistaken ... the US involvement in that war was a whole 100 hours. Forget not that the turks would not let the armor from the north intercept the heavy russian trucks that took items to syria ... BTW ... it was a syrian reactor that the Israeli's destroyed a few months later.

I too had an African Grey ... and because of that bird I learn about Alex. A very interesting bird. Although mine had no where near Alexs' abilities ... the phone ring was PERFECT as was the call for "mom" that the kids had. I really enjoyed that and there wasn't a thing she could do about it. I know that it made the bird happy to do that. My "male" cockatiel (bright red ear patch) died from being egg bound. The parakeets just used up the newspaper at the bottom of the cage.
