yeah.... I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that the Congress woman's aides told him to wait his turn in line. Mentally unstable people couldn't possibly lose it over being told to wait their turn in line. It must have been due to campaigning over six months ago.

Had he just come up and started shooting, your point still would have been weak, but not as weak as this. But he didn't. He cut in line to talk to her, was told to go back to the end of the line and wait his turn, THEN he went over the edge and returned to open fire.

You idiots that want to blame the Tea Party or Sarah Palin for the actions of a mentally unstable person are pathetic. The two parties have been drawing up 'targeted districts' for a long time. To pretend that is what made this guy do it is absurd.

A high school classmate describes him as "left-wing." He also is apparently fond of "Mein Kampf" and Karl Marx and may be somehow connected to a fringe anti-immigration group. And he despised Giffords. Make what you will of all of that. My hunch is that Lougnher is just basically crazy, and that his political thinking isn’t particularly coherent or organized.

According to the classmate.... this guy was a lunatic from the LEFT fringe... not the right.

But when liberals use this moment to highlight every provocative statement Palin has made, it’s also not unreasonable if she says that her opponents are trying just a little too hard to make her the villain.

According to the classmate, who went to high school with him several years ago and has not had any contact with him since, he is a left winger who hates the government and everything about it. That makes a hell of a lot of sense, SF.

I did not blame the long line nor the person who told him to wait. This was the action of a mentally unstable person. A person who appears to have been obsessed with Gifford for at least 4 years. There is no way that the aide could have known the guy was a lunatic. If the guy was a fan of Marx, it is not hard to see why he would not like how our government is currently run.

And I don't blame anyone for what this guy did. I blame Palin, Beck et al. for their own violent rhetoric and for creating a poisonous atmosphere over the past two and a half years. No, it isn't conclusive moron. There is always the possibility that a guy fond of Marx went to the opposite end of the spectrum over five years.
