UMMM actually the original use of the term is how I worded it, though there have been variations of its use that are acceptable. You did not use a slang word you made up a nonexistent word...I am pretty sure your brain is just one giant fart-try beano and see if that helps ;)

Actually I (and I suspect many others) would prefer you stop sitting on your brains and actually DEBATE an issue using ALL the facts and the logic derived from them.

Now that we've had three years of people parsing every syllable she utters, and every letter or character she tweets, we still have less stupid stuff coming from Palin than from the current VP. In all the 57 states (:D) I've never seen anybody so thoroughly excoriated for so few, although well publicized by political opponents, wordsmithing mistakes...

there is a HUGE difference between rhetoric to get your based fired up and 'threatening rhetoric'.

the left wants to suddenly start portraying commonly used wording from the past as some 'brand new form of violent rhetoric'. They are trying to politicize a tragedy.

Are both sides in need of toning things down to a level of civil discourse? yes.

Have either side threatened the other with violence? No

Ok, now you are going off the deep end. An article about judges being threatened by people they put away? That is nothing new and it has NOTHING to do with politicians rhetoric.

As for your last paragraph.... I am not 100% sure by any means as you are correct in that we haven't heard from him.

That said, given what we do know... his obsession with her since 2007, his mental state, etc... I think the evidence points to him simply being a friggin nut that took affront to her 'not answering his question well enough'.

I think it certainly possible he could come out now with a 'yes sir, Sarah Palin made me do it'. The media has done a great job providing him with that excuse. The asshole is a nut, a nut who appears to want to be famous/infamous. If he comes out now and says 'Sarah made me do it' he is going to be in the media spot light for a long time. Book deals. Movie rights. Just watch how fast the left lines up to put him in the spot light to show how evil Sarah and the Tea Party are. This is just my opinion. But I think that is how this is setting up.

ONE incident is NOT evidence that the statement is false. To claim that one event makes it false, means you think the 'gunners' position means ALL such crimes should be stopped.

The Sheriff carefully separated his opinion from the "facts" in the pending investigation. It's well within in his rights to answer questions that ask for his opinion, whether you or I agree or disagree with them.
