Raccoon face

You see plots and plans where they do not exist. Progressivism sees the wealth gap and the power of the plutocrats as problematic. The wealthy are confiscating the profits the workers created. The wealthy have no end to their greed. Progressives are not undermining anyone. they are just fighting to get their policies in place. That is politics.

Progressives see liberalism as the problem to be corrected. That is separate from the Marxist belief that ownership is invalid (taking the risk of capital loans, creating businesses, employing workers, etc.) which you are also attributing to progressivism, of course. Progressives are, however, guilty of undermining liberty and individual autonomy, as those are both aspects of liberalism.

Russia wouldn't be able to beat the Western world in a war, even if America wasn't involved. Putin is a "strongman" dictator. He projects strength to cover up his country's weakness.

So how come the most progressive countries still have their Western values?
It's actually conservative countries that have much less freedom.

With one hand tied behind his back, he could. Progressive countries still maintain their Western values for two reasons: It is a slow acting agent compared to revolutionary socialism, and because no alternative culture or system of values has yet been able to insert itself.

So there's really no evidence that progressive policies harm Western Civilization. We could say it's a "slow acting agent," but then when exactly do we start to see signs of collapse? A hundred years? Two hundred? A thousand?

Sure we can. Progressivism is illiberal, and liberalism has been the philosophical norm of Western Civilization for over two centuries. Every time we seat a progressive judge, we are harmed.

Progressive judges are the salvation of America. Trump seated federalist Society judges who are picked by obedience to their dogma. Many are rejected as unqualified by the Bar assoc. Some Trump judges have never tried a case or took a deposition. Trump puts them in lifetime positions. These judges are doing real harm and will do it for decades.

Only if you consider the Constitution to be the damnation of America.

Not correct. The constitution made liberalism its goal. The preamble talks about the public good.
We the people of the United States , in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, PROMOTE the GENERAL WELFARE, give the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution.
I consider it a blueprint of liberalism and a collective America.

Yes, the Constitution is a product of liberalism, and not of progressivism.
