Right, but all the variants we know of now current vaccines and antibodies protect us from. he forgets to mention that and is playing and endless "what if" game. Given his past and admitted lies, I would seek confirmation of any claim he makes

it's not just "lower' it's "near zero, and that is not enough to infect

if you have antibodies or the vaccine and waited the incubation period wearing a mask is theater, like paul said. Also those surgical masks as you know are supposed to be one time use. not all day/multiday use.


I wear the oakley mask with the filter removed where required. I do not wear one outside ever.

I have a couple of these, I take out the white filter. so much nicer to breath. lol and again I wear it in as few places as possible.

Let's see your science that near zero is the same as zero? I find your argument a little specious after you have spent so much time attacking masks. Masks reduce risk but don't eliminate it and based on the percentages listed in the article about viral load, masks are actually more effective than the vaccine when it comes to reducing viral load.

I disagree, with everything here. you can see the efficacy here is very high. So high that fauci's stance in untenable from a medical science position.

I havent attacked masks" i wear them, and I understand they stop spittle. They dont stop aerosol,or contact on surface
What i attack is the notion masks are gonna protect you -they dont, they MAY help not to infect others-
"near zero" isnt going to infect others however

And yet, I saw a report today that 5% of hospitalizations in MN are from B.1.1.7 which is about the current variant infection rate in the state. SO much for the claim there is no evidence.

The efficacy is high but it isn't non existent. 70-80% reduction in shedding from a medical standpoint doesn't mean you don't need to worry at all about it.

Mask protect you by stopping 80-95% of aerosols. Is 20% of a normal viral load low enough to no longer worry about infection at all?

masks do not stop aerosol -"aerosol" in terms of suspended particles in air - typical masks (surgical) are not sealed around the mouth and nose.

I have no idea about "20%" the terms used are near zero.. get vaxxed and ditch the snot guard
