Rasmussen: Gingrich soars ahead of Mittens by 21%

I only did that a few times (multiple?) back in 2008 when I was sent to Boston for 9 months for work and I didn't know anyone. I'd go out alone and sometimes end up drinking and posting. Never a good combination.

Definitely more than a few! You had half the board anticipating your next one. Beefy used to love it. Remember when you posted from your blackberry out of nowhere that Cypress was a p-word? And then claimed someone at the bar must have posted it from your blackberry? Oh man that was so funny!

Agreed; that goes down with calling old girlfriends and playing tackle football as things that drinking isn't conducive for...

Okay look at this poll from today.

Gingrich, 26.6%, Romney, 20.4%

Ok, I am sorry, but I truly laughed out loud at the above.

Try READING the 'poll'.... now... where did they get the data for their charts?

Hint... look at the difference in numbers.... 6.2%

Oh hell, I will be an ass and just highlight it.... they got it from Real Clear Politics AVERAGE of polls. So the exact same issue applies that I mentioned.

Grrr. I'll try to find a daily poll that isn't Rasmussen and see what comes up.

Oh yeah, I had (convienently) forgotten about that. That was 2007. I used to go out drinking after work then go back to the office (using the computer) before going home and that was never a good thing. Oh man...

LMFAO... Well this is a first, a pinhead posting a poll showing Gingrich with a 6% lead, to prove that Gingrich isn't ahead of Romney!

You guys are too much!

:lmao:

I wasn't trying to prove Romney was ahead, stooge, just that the percentage between Newt and Mitt (38% v. 17%) isn't as high as Rasmussen states.

Some of the best posts ever to appear on this board - nothing to be embarrassed about.

lol... sorry... I would recommend waiting a couple of days. RCP does a pretty good job of keeping each major poll updated as the new ones come out.

Expand the list on RCP and you can see how frequently they update each respective poll.

Gallup and NBC/WSJ should both be coming out with new polls in the next couple of days (my guess would be by Monday)

I think this is evidence you don't have any idea what's going on in the real world. Cain was never "dropped due to extramarital affairs" as you believe. You are totally and completely wrong about that. Several things factor into Cain's demise, the ALLEGED affairs are just one thing. More notably, is the way Cain handled it, many people felt he mishandled it from the start. Then there is the issue of Cain's policy depth, and whether he has the background experience to deal with crucial national security issues. The more the voters saw Cain struggle with those type of questions, and have moments of long pause, where he didn't seem to know what to say... the more they lost confidence in him, and I think that had far more to do with his fall than the trumped up and fake affairs bullshit.

Newt's baggage has been out there, we've known all about it for years. He admits it, owns it, and has repented for it, and now he is moving on to policy and staying on message. This old stuff isn't going to hurt him, because he is confident (and somewhat brilliant) on policy. You see, conservatives aren't as shallow and petty as dunderhead liberal dims, the man's personal life is not the biggest concern for us, we want a person who understands conservative principles, and can articulate them. But beyond that, we really want someone who can think on their feet, and put things in perspective in a 15 second sound bite, so that everyone can understand it. Newt is the master of that.

I thought you were happy with the way he handled the scandal.

You truly are an idiot ditzie... she never stated that Gingrich isn't ahead of Romney. Her position was that Rasmussen is overstating the SIZE of Gingrich's lead.

But let me guess... you are being 'sarcastic' again and you really didn't 'mean' what you wrote just now?

I wasn't trying to prove Romney was ahead, stooge, just that the percentage (38% v. 17%) isn't as high as Rasmussen states.

Again, if you average Rasmussen's most recent poll in with all the other polls of the past week, then you are right, Newt is only ahead by 6%... which incidentally, is roughly the total amounts for Bachmann, Santorum, and Huntsman combined. The thing is, the Rasmussen poll is from TODAY, not last week. It would appear, if Rassy is correct, Newt is skyrocketing upward... we'll have to see if the trend continues. For now, you can go grab a bunch of old polls from a month ago, and average them all together, and have Newt only leading Romney by the combined amount of voters for Bachmann, Santorum, and Huntsman. Maybe when they drop out, all of their supporters will swing to Romney?

:lmao:

I remember getting a PM from you apologizing for posting something about me when you were drunk that I never saw. It was hilarious.

Ugghhh. No recollection of what I might have said but I'm sure my dumb *ss said something stupid.

Jughead, why don't you learn to read the sentences?

More notably, is the way Cain handled it, many people felt he mishandled it from the start.

Do you notice I never said that I wasn't happy with the way he handled it?

Do you see the three little words following the second comma? MANY PEOPLE FELT....

Do you need help comprehending what that means? I think SF can tutor you, if needed!
