Bush used him and his prestige to present a case of lies to the UN. Powell claims that was the low point of his life. He told lies to justify the war in Iraq. It was a terrible distortion of facts showing how badly the right wanted a war. It was an embarrassment to the US.

None of them are Democrats that could have been Speaker or Majority/Minority leader. I asked a leftist why HIS party hasn't picked a black for a leadership position other than a meaningless one for show. It's clear why you didn't answer.

The black vote will be against Trump. They can see what he is. The problem is how many will turnout. They have to be convinced the Dems will actually follow through. With Mcconnell in the senate, all bills die.
The Repubs proudly announced they would sabotage Obama's presidency. They did and they would do it to any Dem. A Dem senate would go a long way to getting America on the track for helping the people instead of corporations, the wealthy and polluters.

The blacks that vote Democrat must be basing that on the wonderful results blacks have experience having supported them for years. Either that, or the blacks that vote for Democrats willingly choose to be on the plantation for the current Democrats like their ancestors were forced to do for Democrats in the past.

Their defenses of Trump range from illogical to plain absurd. Once deconstructed, they babble slogans right out of right wing radio & TV punditry or try and change the subject. This is why after a time I just IA the damned fools, as they continue to defend a man who wipes his feet on them...hope their troll checks are at least minimum wage!
