Lotts comment regarding Strom had nothing to do with segregationist views Strom happened to hold in the past, as did most southern politicians in 1948! Lott's comments were more appropriately referring to Strom's conservative values, which are still very relevant today, and which, had they been applied in 1948, would have made us much better off. The lack of logical basis for the charge is apparent to anyone who wants to honestly and objectively evaluate it, and if you don't agree, why the fuck are you trying to argue that very point with Onzies? It makes no sense, unless you are a political dreidel!

I am not saying that anyone does or doesn't speak anything. I am saying there is often a distinct accent or dialect that can be recognized.

If you spoke to me on the phone, you would never mistake me for a New Yorker. I don't sound like anyone from Mayberry and I am an intelligent man. But due to where I was raised and the language dialect spoken in my home and neighborhood, I have a southern accent.

sometimes, but not all the time....often people from the deep sound all sound the same...white or black....i don't have a preconceived notion of what skin color someone is by their dialect....in california, it just doesn't work....
