Religions are mostly wrong

You and Cypress are literally the ONLY people to obsess on my doctorate.

I only ever mentioned it once in passing.

Seems like a bit of projection on your part and on Cypress' part. Now THAT'S interesting psychology.
Is that because everyone else knows you're a lying nutjob and doesn't care what lies you claim?

That's another Perry lie. Not as good as your Jank lies, but good enough. LOL

Projection that you claimed to have a PhD but fail to demonstrate the maturity and self-discipline necessary to earn one, Perry?

More projection from the forum's hate machine.

You are among the most hate-filled posters (calling everyone psychotic, and comparing them to various villains in history, oh and the "changing their posts" game you play where you make up stuff people said and then post that as the quote is an interesting hate game you play as well).

Funny but every accusation is a confession for you folks.
Disagreed, Perry.

Disagreed on "hate-filled". Unlike you, my emotions are much more balanced. :)

Works both ways, Perry PhD. LOL You remind me of two banned former members: Peace n Safety and Steven VanderMolen. Do you know either one, Perry? Maybe met them at the Bipolar Club? LOL

I have no problem with anyone deciding to follow any religion...for whatever reason they want.

What does bother me...and bother me a lot...are the people who have decided various matters based on religious convictions...and then demand that those religious convictions be the basis for laws that will bind all of us.

We have laws against killing others not because of religion; we have laws against stealing not because of religion...but I sure as hell do not want laws against commercial activity on some special day, for instance...because of a religious conviction. Laws against drinking, dancing, smoking, doing pot, and so many other things that are derived from religious convictions...do bother me.

I do not begrudge an individual from doing it, but I will argue against those people from here to Hell and back.
I don't think religious dogma has a place in science or public education. But I don't have a problem with the social gospel informing religious politicians and other people of faith on how to react to poverty, slavery, equality, oppression.

Murder, theft, and grand larceny are crimes, and I have never seen having the self control to restrain oneself from murdering and raping to be a sign of moral fortitude and virtue.

It just means you can avoid the temptation to be a criminal. It's the lowest possible ethical bar to clear in living a human life.

All human societies must have had some sanction against wanton murder of tribal peers and family.

But when I read the canonical texts of world religions, there is very little discussion about murder and grand larceny. There typically is a more sophisticated view of right action and universal ethical principles -->

Bhagavad-Gita, chapter 16
Fearlessness, purity of being, knowledge, generosity, discipline, sacrifice, sacred study, austerity, honesty, non-harm, truth, non-anger, letting go, peace, non-slander, kindness to living things, non-greed, gentleness, modesty, non-caprice, energy, forgiveness, resolve, cleanliness, non-aggression, non-arrogance -- these exist in one born to godly assets.

Zhuangzi:
Humans who have freed themselves from the slavery of conventional standards of judgement and desire can no longer be made to suffer. So the Daoist remains within society but refrains from acting out of motives that lead conventional humans to struggle for wealth, fame, reputation, success, security. He maintains a course of action that is not purposefully motivated by any gain or reward. In such a state human action becomes spontaneous and effortless. Humans become one with heaven, and merge with the Dao.

Jesus, Sermon on the Plain:
Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the Sons of God. Love your enemies and turn the other cheek. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Don't judge and you won't be judged, don't condemn and you won't be condemned, forgive and you will be forgiven, give and you will receive. Remove the log from your own eye before attending to the splinter in your friend's. A good tree does not produce bad fruit and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit, each tree is known by its fruit.

Analects of Confucius, Chapter XVI-10:
Confucius said, “There are nine things upon which a gentleman focuses his attention: in regard to using his eyes, he is anxious to see clearly; when listening, he focuses on being discerning; in his countenance, he is anxious to be amiable; in his demeanor, he focuses on being reverent; in his speech, he focuses on being dutiful; in his actions, he focuses on being respectful; when in doubt, he focuses on asking questions; when angry, he focuses on thinking about the the difficulties he may cause others ; and when he sees gain to be had, he focuses upon righteousness

So when you suggest someone is like a particular vicious killer you are being "balanced"? When you change people's posts to say things they didn't say you consider that "balanced"? When you do it with GIANT LETTERS that's mentally balanced? When you literally diagnose every other person except Cypress as psychotic, that's balanced? Interesting.

If you don't see yourself as an unhinged hate machine then you lack self awareness. Don't worry, I'm here to help remind you every time you do it.

Lack of self awareness. Hmmm. Wonder what that makes you? Maybe we can find a real psychologist to help out.

You are among the most hate-filled posters .
You are the one banging and pounding on your keyboard in ALL CAPS, supersized, Red font letters.

That's just bonkers.

YOU DISHONEST TROLL.

I SAID THAT YOU CLEARLY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT FREEZING POINT DEPRESSION AND YOU CLEARLY HAD TO GOOGLE IT BECAUSE YOU WENT STRAIGHT TO ENTROPY WHICH IS NOT SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO CLAIMED TO NOT PAY MUCH ATTENTION IN HIGH SCHOOL CHEMISTRY WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT GOOGLING.

God damn, I wish you'd be honest at some point in this conversation.

WHY DO YOU LIE SO MUCH?????????????????????

Peace n Safety AKA Steven VanderMolen. Why did you run from the question, Perry?

We? You, Steven and Peace n Safety? I'm certain y'all know a few psychiatrists.

You still seem confused on the whole psychiatry/psychology thing, Perry. While I think everyone can benefit from a little psychiatry, counseling or group therapy, not everyone can benefit from a psychologist.

But your buddy, Doc Douche does the same thing. Guess you give him a pass. LOL. (And he does it mostly when he's being even more dishonest by changing other people's posts!)

Again, your hypocrisy is stunning and off the charts. But it's to be expected for the man whose ego is so fragile he can't admit he didn't know some basic chemistry concept or some basic religion concept after he bragged NONSTOP about how broadly read he is.

Ironically enough I appear to know more about the field of psychology than you do. Guess you really DID suck balls in school. You didn't even know what the DSM was! LOL.

And you usually type in giant letters when you change people's posts so you can mock them with your own words.

Dishonest fuck.

Steven was nice at times, but his mental illness drove him to do certain things. I have no doubt he's been arrested a few times. Sad to see stupid, mentally ill people go to jail instead of a mental facility.

Are you angry, Perry?

It seems you are.

Pounding a keyboard in anger and rage is different than activating a font size in someone's post to mock and humiliate.

I specifically maintained that your pounding on the keyboard in ALL CAPS SUPERSIZED RED LETTERS was an expression of your rage and lack of self control.

Just like Doc.

I agree with your assessment. Perry's emotions get the better of him sometimes. Is it because he's young and immature or because he's old and mental? IMO, it one or the either with him. Probably the latter.
