You homophobe! What have you got against conservative old men who wear dresses and a beanie?A day to give thanks that we weren't burdened, as a nation, with the foul smell of Popery.

Pray tell, how do you celebrate? let them bomb you?I think it's funny that Americans who celebrate Guy Fawkes day (myself included), do so in the complete opposite spirit of the intent of the holiday.

Lots of rum mostly. But what I meant was the spirit we celebrate. In American we celebrate the fact the Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament. In England they celebrate that he failed to do so.Pray tell, how do you celebrate? let them bomb you?

A lot of people of a more anarchist tint in other countries celebrate it in that way. America just probably has an affinity for that because we were pretty much the only part of the British empire to break off in a violent revolution.
Apart from India, Kenya, Malaya and Palestine, you are right.
Ghandi's revolution in India was non-violent.
And didn't you guys give away Palestine to the j00s in some UN treaty? Oh I dunno.
