I think it's funny that Americans who celebrate Guy Fawkes day (myself included), do so in the complete opposite spirit of the intent of the holiday.

A lot of people of a more anarchist tint in other countries celebrate it in that way. America just probably has an affinity for that because we were pretty much the only part of the British empire to break off in a violent revolution.
