Many years too late the RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! fraud has fallen apart, not that Rachel Maddow will admit it. Actually just as big is that "Defund the Police" has collapsed, though after catastrophic damage to America was done.

As to this post...

I haven't read Belew's premier book Bringing the War Home but I have read a number of reviews now. All of the ones from Leftist sources--to include the NYT, WaPo, Slate, The Nation, et.al., are vague, slathering, and in praise of the book. Not one--NONE, ZERO, ZIP POINT SHIT-- actually give you any details from the book. It is as if the reviewer either didn't read it, or if they did didn't do so critically.

The one review that didn't praise the book (it's on Amazon) points out one portion of the book with quotes and comparative facts showing it to be factually questionable or even outright false in narrative at many points. That to me says her book (I may buy a used copy to avoid her getting royalties) is probably nothing but tripe. But without reading it I can't be sure.

Her available online bios and CV certainly are not impressive. She seems the sort of radical Leftist academic that gets a pass for producing sloppy work.
