Chris Stevens, who was based in Tripoli decided to go to Benghazi, on his own volition, he and his security detail were not ordered to go, in fact Stevens turned down two request to return to Tripoli in the weeks prior to the attack.

The film excuse was based on demonstrations at the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt when an anti-islamic video was shown on you tube, the camel jockey's saw the film, that's all that matters, hence the demonstrations.

Teabaggers spent years investigating and found nothing.

Teabaggers claim to be tough on terrorism, until the terrorist are teabaggers/Q NUTS.

There is no evidence (unlike CAiro) the attacks were in response to the video.
It was 9/11 and a generalized terrorism alert was out by the CIA

While it does not look pre-planned- it was opportunistic- no evidence show the video was any part of this
Stevens likely became target having been seen regurally jogging around Bengazi.
I also think he was dealing with warlords to be a middle man for the CIA to get weapons to Syria
Of course that is all classified

Cairo and Bengazi are worlds apart in terms of terrorism. The Arab Spring was different in each country.

The real crime was killing Qaddafi -that left a power vacuum filled by militias.
eastern Libya has long been a hotbed of Islamic terrorism ( Ansar al-Sharia /Libyan Islamic Fighting Group)
Qaddafi was trying to put down an al-Qaeda based revolution, and we killed him ( Predator drone)
and plunged Libya into the chaos that still is happening today

NATO aircraft then fired on 21 of the vehicles, destroying one. A U.S. Predator drone operated from a base near Las Vegas fired the first missiles at the convoy, hitting its target about 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of Sirte. Moments later, French Air Force Mirage 2000D fighter jets[12] continued the bombing. The NATO bombing immobilized much of the convoy and killed dozens of loyalist fighters. There was no functional government at this time - i compressed the time line
as to killing him -yes we were the proximate cause of his death - the drone made him flee the safety of his convoy
That was left out of your post, and it's important to know why he went hiding in the drainage ditch-otherwise he would not have

Then his body was taken to a grocery store in Sirte and stuck in the frozen food aisle
for all to galk at -a clear and significant violation of Islamic custom

all this is coming up as 10th anniversary.
Libya since has been in a constant civil war (hows that for an irony) and has ISIS infect it's cities.
Tripoli has regular power failures and water shortages -we blew up the pipeline for the Great Man Made River

Russia/Turkey Egypt and The UAE are all involved -there have been multiple failed attempts to form governments
