Trump did not negotiate. He simply stated his demands as usual. He has not sat down with the Dems. He has not even offered to. This is a typical press show for Daffy. Trump has never sat down and tried to thrash things out. He suffers from rich guy disease. I will tell you what we will do.Of course shutting down the government is also not negotiation. Just more spoiled prick actions.
Trump ended the same programs he offered today. And he made the restoration temporary. Easy to see why the Dems are not happy. The calculation is apparent. He hopes the people he kicked out of work will blame the Dems. But of course, Trump never mentioned the furloughed workers. He does not care about them. Yet he thinks that phoney show will convince people. You have to be pretty stupid to think that was dealing.

Who owns the shutdown is meaningless when your check doesn't arrive, your EBT is bone dry and your baby is crying. But hey, as long as people who didn't vote for Trump hate Trump, it's cool. They can eat dandelions and drink pine needle tea to survive until November 2020 I am sure. Pine needles are rich in Vitamin C. That is basically the same thing as orange juice.

You mean for Trump's ego and his fictitious border crisis? Better to just get rid of Trump.. or you could have Congressional hearings and invite the DEA, the Border Patrol, Fema, Homeland Security and US Customs and Immigration to publicly put Trump's lies to rest.

I am aware of that. Come February, however, there will be no more SNAP and no cash welfare payments. Those cash payments are how they do things like buy diapers, pay utility bills etc. If your princess doesn't cave by the 30th, your party is going to see massive blowback. Nobody is going to care who "owns" the shutdown. They are going to care that the democrats aren't doing shit to get it resolved.

I'm sure you're well aware that a good lot of SNAP recipients are not (D) voters; some statistics show that 25% of our military families (who seldom vote (D)) receive benefits. Many others live in the South, or rural areas, and are white. In other words, your hope that it will be mostly (D) voters who will become angry when their benefits are cut off is not based on facts.
