Ron Paul/FP.com Flashback Pop Quiz

Everything else, he's pretty much a loon on. And I think its the height of hypocrisy to declare that one is a libertarian, but they want the government to have the power to force a woman to carry an embryo to term.

That would be more of a constitutional conservative, as he believes it should be state by state. It depends on how you view the embryo, if you believe that it is victimized by abortion, thus suggesting you believe it is a human being, then there could be no other position to take, even if you were a libertarian.

Its a privacy and individual liberty issue. Leaving it up to fat, old white men in State Legislatures is not my idea of honoring the rights embedded in the constitution.

It is only a privacy issue only if you don't believe that the embryo is a human being. Reasonable people can disagree on this issue, even within the Libertarian Party, and the Republican party.

Do privacy issues trump life and death issues? Can you kill an ex utero child if you keep it private? It's only a privacy issue if you reject that an embryo is living. Science says embryos are alive, and there definitely human.

Ron Paul is a blip in the overall election thing and means nothing.
Much ado about nothing.
I've actually been surprised that a guy who in the Iowa straw poll gets fifth behind Tancredo, whom we know isn't going to be the nominee, gets so much attention. But there are quite the number of libertarians online and stranger things have happened.

To use your phrase, those that declare an embryo to be a human being, are being disingenous. ;)

There's not a snowballs chance in hell, any sane person is going to risk life and limb, to rush into a burning fertility clincic to save a petri dish of blastocyts.

Now, if actual human children were in there, depending on the circumstance, many of us might risk life and limb to save them.

Alright, it doesn't matter, just forget it. I can take up what Adam said with Adam, which is what I did. The whole thing got blown out of proportion because you made posts that I took to mean, in the context of what was being said at the time, that I am some sort of cheerleader who doesn't post anything of any thought or worth, and that personally bothered me, because I would not have thought you would think so little of me. You have since said you didn't mean that, and don't think that, which I accept.

I think I rarely accuse someone of sexism in their dealings with me, you perceive that I do it often. Who knows where the truth lies there, since we all perceive different things. We could gather all of my posts and find out, and I think they'd show my perception to be the more realistic, but who wants to go through the trouble? I think that you dismiss the unconcious sexism that is probably going on here. Not every sexist statement or sexist act, is a conscious one.

Sexism, like racism, is real and I admire that you won't stand for it. It's not always a conscious act, but it should be pointed out regardless of intent. Too much testosterone leads to evil.

I believe Damo is sincere and I'm glad you're feeling better my sister, my friend.

Do you think the world would be a better place if women were in charge? And is that belief sexist?

I don't think highly enough of him for him to have the power to bruise me, or even for him to have the power to aggravate an existing bruise.

You reject rationality if it doesn't lead to your preordained conclusions.

Yeah but many of us would not want to pay the money to put in fire safety devices to prevent the fire in the first place. strange that...

Oh thank you.

Women are 51% of the population dude. We're not using the full capability of human talent, when women are only - what? - 3% of the world's political leaders and corporate leaders.

Please keep the feminist trash under wrap, it's embarassing for the board.

NO .. YOU are an embarassment to the board .. but given that you are known to be crazy and more than a little ... ahh .. disturbed .. you are a tolerable distraction that no one takes seriously.

And "some" of us, don't even support Children's Health Insurance Programs - yet those same people act so "concerned" about an embryo or blastocyst. I guess that "concern" for unborn children ends when they are outside the womb.

Im not sure world leadership is the perfect calling for women. They get freaked out by conflict, will do anything to preserve peace, even if it means selling out their own people; that's why the push is on to put them into leadership, so they WILL sell us all out to the new stud lion in the pride.
