Ron Paul Introduces "The Tax Free Tips Act"

So we should just get rid of all taxes for any income that people have to be expected to report honestly.

Not taxing tips is a great way to deal with the estimation issue.

If you want to help people that are struggling, make ALL wages below the 10-15$ an hour area tax exempt. Just because tips aren't easy to categorize doesn't mean it isn't income. The employer should keep track and tax them, else the employer should be audited.

One things for sure .. if Ron Paul introduced it, it has zero chance of passing.

The man cannot get his own bills passed and has one of the most vapid congressional records of anyone in Congress.

He does not understand the need for coalition building.

Or just stop taxing income altogether and move towards a system that would tax people more fairly, like a sales tax. There are too many holes in the income tax and they are always trying to patch it up some way or another, and they just create mor holes. Rich people find all sorts of ways around taxs, and poor people don't have to pay any because they don't make enough. Middle Class people end up paying unfairly more than anyone else.
