Ronald Reagan Movie Beats Box Office Expectations

buzz off bozo

Reagan movie trounces expectations with blockbuster opening weekend

It wound up finishing third in the box office over the holiday weekend, behind Deadpool & Wolverine and Alien, and earned a 98 percent approval rating among movie-goers on Rotten Tomatoes.

That is a stark contrast from the dismal 18 percent approval score it earned from movie critics, marking the largest gap between critics and audiences in Hollywood history.

lol

Just saw the movie. Fantastic! It seemed to me that at least half of Reagan's dialogue in the movie was verbatim from his speeches and real life anecdotes.
They apparently resurrected Dennis Quaid from oblivion. His portrayal of Reagan was award worthy.

Ahh, the last desperate moves of the neocon/teabagger/fibbertarian/maga/alt-right crowd to revise history here and there.

Bottom line: Ronnie Ray-gun gave us the give that keeps on giving (us a pain in the ass) .... reaganomics, which have been regurgitated in various forms by the Shrub and Cheeto Jeezus. His posturing and rhetoric also delayed the demise of the old Soviet Union. His bogus quiet war against South American countries (remember Ollie North?). His giving the religious right a seat at the table that has morphed into today's christo-fascists gits in Congress. I could go on, but the Maga mooks here will just ignore the parts of history they don't like and seal clap such silliness like the OP. (I thought they said Hollywood was chock full of communists, gay promoters and baby killers?)

Wow who would go see it? old half dead reagan supporters

I would probably be upset about the destruction of Rotten Tomatoes but for the fact that going to the movies is no longer a part of our lives....the movies are generally not worth all that anymore.....streaming old stuff is the smart play.

"Reagan" was well-received by audiences giving it a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes as of Tuesday.
Hollywood critics have a mass meltdown.

Rotten Tomatoes factors critics into it's score. IMDB is pure viewers; one person, vote.

I have it on my watch list.
