Rough Sleepers

Since the report is about the UK it probably shows something about some other island's soul than the American soul...

If you read the report, you will see that there is indeed commentary on America's homeless problem.

Simplefreak already played that BS. Pay attention.

What I also stated was that when you have 'estimates' that range from 700k to 2mm... it shows they are purely guessing. They have no idea how many there are. They have no clue how many choose to be, how many are mentally ill, etc... they are simply pointing to a death and saying 'OMG we need to do something', yet then failing to state WHAT it is they propose be done about it.

Again, are you going to FORCE them into a mental hospital or shelter? FORCE them to take medication? What is it that you would propose we do?

No, they have a good idea how many there are, somewhere between 700K and 2M and as answered before, access to healthcare would be a good start.

Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody ever does anything about that either.

LOL... no, they do not have a good idea, which is why they give a range that is almost a 200% increase from bottom to top.

You haven't responsed to my reply.

Well, it would depend on what their illness is, but in most cases, hospitalisation might be the best option. While in the mental hospital, they would be forced to take the meds, they would get better, and since they're better, they continue to take their meds upon release from the hospital. It is not really a good state of affairs to have psychotics on the street.

Unfortunetly what you propose, doesn't work.
Due to the UCLA; it is against the person's rights, to force them to take medication, unless it is shown that they are a danger to themselves or others.
Even when you can get a court order, to force them to take their meds; once they're stabilized, they then become eligible for to be released and then they usually stop taking the meds again.
It becomes a circle.
