There is a reason the GOP Potus prior and now Trump (Magat Potus) will always run massive debt and deficits. ALWAYS!

They went from a party, pre Nixon, who were genuine debt hawks to becoming the party who puts on far more debt then Democrats EACH AND EVERY TIME THEY GET POWER NO MATTER THE ECONOMY STATUS.

The reason for that is that they fear if they pay down debt and hand over a good economy to the Dem's they will then be able to expand the social safety net with public support and the GOP screaming 'but debt' will not rally the voters. So instead they WANT to always hand to Dem Potus the treasury that was just burdened with massive new debt (by them) so they can scream, 'WE ARE DROWNING IN DEBT AND CANNOT AFFORD YOUR PROGRAMS', and the voters look at the debt and think 'ya'.

Again the US is unique in the 1st world in this regard and get away with it as people like you say 'oh that is another topic... i do not want to consider that and instead lets talk about the affordability of these social programs instead'.

They are separate. If I had my way, I'd cut a lot more spending and actually address the deficit/debt.

Again, when you decide to live in a very, very small rural town, you should expect to not have certain amenities/services. That is true in and of itself, independent of all politics.

Most don’t decide to move there. Most are probably multi-generational natives. Can’t afford to move to the “big city”.

No they are really not.

That is like you telling your family 'we cannot afford things like nice cars and good food because 'look our bank account is empty and those things ARE SO EXPENSIVE and we cannot afford them' and when the family points out that the bulk of the money is being spent and lost by you gambling, you tell them you won't talk about as 'that is separate'.

Instead you try to keep the sole focus on the 'nice cars and food being expensive' as if that exists in a bubble and is not impacted by the bigger spending decisions.

The other mistake you keep repeating is a truism you keep distorting. Yes, rural folks should not expect the same level of service that big cities get. They do make that choice. But you are trying to use that blanket truth to then defend the very deliberate and political cuts Trump is doing to pay for tax cuts for the 1%.

Two things can both be true which you are desperate to avoid admitting. Yes rural folks can accept levels of lower service but ALSO YET Trump and co can greatly exploit that gut services they should have and the country could otherwise afford to deliver tax cuts to the rich.
