1. "Most" are not "all".
2. If a huge farm were smart they'd brand their product and sell it as "safer", people would pay slightly more, and you can increase profit margin massively. Even if they wouldn't pay slightly more for safer eggs (they would), you wouldn't lose much and would sell more if you advertised how much safer your eggs were, especially now.
Maybe. "Eggland" sells eggs that are supposedly highly quality controlled. I recall another brand that "pasteurized" their eggs, and I assume they used some sort of irradiation process. Both cost more than commodity eggs. I don't buy either because I cook them.
