Nobody is defending Soleimani, we're just saying that killing him was a big mistake done for political reasons.

When Bush invaded Iraq, his admin regularly questioned the patriotism of anyone who opposed the decision. Despite Trump himself pretending he was against going into Iraq, today's Republicans are doing the same thing. Anyone who is against the killing of Soleimani is being accused of loving terrorists. It's so sad how we learn nothing from history.

Of course, the Republicans probably learned from the best.....

Soleimani was not a stateless actor. He did not meet the definition of a terrorist or an enemy combatant. He was part of the army of the nation of Iran so don't give substance to the drivel a Trump cultists says.

Sure, it depends on the situation. In this particular situation, a lot of Americans felt it was a bad move, because there was a strong possibility of war. And even without war, this makes it a lot harder to negotiate with Iran.

True, but he did do things that would qualify him as a terrorist. I don't think we should look past his political violence just because he was part of the government.
