Sanders compares killing Solimani to Putin killing dissidents

True, but he did do things that would qualify him as a terrorist. I don't think we should look past his political violence just because he was part of the government.

I never said we should look past the violence but the narrative of the right is unsubstantiated and outright bull-shit. They are glaringly ignoring the violence and human rights violations of the Saudis because Trump is sucking up to them big time. A special-ops general in the army of a sovereign nation is not labeled a terrorist as much as the Trump cultists want to label him as one.

Technically, yes, but I think he should be seen as a terrorist for using political violence. The narrative is also bullshit because there was no evidence the Iranian government was set to attack us.

Yeah, that's huge hypocrisy. We all know this has nothing to do with stopping terrorism or Muslim extremism, since if that was the case, the government would have cut off Saudi Arabia.

Trump is a terrorist.

They elected Hitler, a socialist democrat.

First of all, Hitler was never elected. He was given a position in the government in order to control the growing Nazi Party, but the plan backfired when Hitler used the position to marginalize the rest of the government, grow his own power base, and take over. If anything, this shows the importance of maintaining checks and balances in a government.

Secondly, the Nazis weren't Social Democrats. They didn't believe in Democracy, they believed in Dictatorship.

Soleimani was not a stateless actor. He did not meet the definition of a terrorist or an enemy combatant. He was part of the army of the nation of Iran so don't give substance to the drivel a Trump cultists says.
Iran is a terrorist state. Quds force export terrorism

On Aug. 19, 1934, the German public voted 90 percent in favor of Chancellor Adolf Hitler becoming Führer und Reichskanzler.

NAZI stands for national socialists.

Check the date. The Nazis took over the government in 1933. Hitler was already dictator by 1934. That was a sham election with the 90% number being propaganda.

First of all, the Nazis called themselves "Socialist," but they weren't Socialists because most companies were still private.
Secondly, I'm not arguing that they weren't Socialists, I'm arguing that they weren't Social Democrats. Social Democracy involves Democracy, which the Nazis got rid of.

Well, there still has yet to be a socialist movement that ultimately leaned democratic. In the past they never had to be dishonest about it, as people weren't generally seeking democracy to begin with. That being said, democracy is always going to be one of the first two casualties of successful socialist movements, alongside human rights.

That's why I'm a Social Democrat, not a Socialist.

You call it a sham because I destroyed your position.

He's got guts, that Sanders. He's in the mold of the old-time US presidential greats.

Trump is just stink on the wind- an American error.

It was an election.

You said that the Nazis won an election. The election you're referring to was a sham and we know this because the Nazis already had full control over Germany at the time and openly talked about eliminating Democracy.

By the way, the Soviet Union had elections too. However, only members of the Communist Party were on the ballot. So even though they had elections, they didn't really have Democracy.
