Oh ok, you've known me 20 years and now you're calling me a liar. Isn't it strange that the rate of abortions for black women in England is similar to the US. Whilst only representing 2% of the population they have around 7% of all abortions. That's despite contraception being free on the NHS, so why is that then you might ask?

Ya see sweetpea, for starters you have to parse out the stats for folk having "multiple" abortions. Then you might have a look into why (your bigoted generalizations are no substitute for researched facts). Get back to us when you have the numbers and explanations from objective, reputable sources and not the usual pro-life pundits. In the meantime, the gentleman that offered the idea of mandatory vasectomy that can be reversed when one is mature and financially stable would END the need for abortions better than the current offerings.

I never called you a liar!! I agreed that some women had more than one abortion. Where we disagree is the reason, you say they're indolent and ignorant, I say we can't possibly know the reason. The whole argument in the US re: R v W is about taking back a woman's right to the private management of her reproductive system, not which race/religion/nationality has the most abortions.

All we're doing is going in circles. You're talking about women having a lot of abortions even though contraception is free through the NHS. I say why aren't more men availing themselves of the free contraception? My entire argument boils down to saying that contraception is 50-50 no matter who uses what.

The disclosure of Alito’s draft majority opinion – a severe breach of Supreme Court secrecy and tradition around its deliberations – comes as all sides in the abortion debate are girding for the ruling. Speculation about the looming decision has been intense since the December oral arguments indicated a majority was inclined to support the Mississippi law.

Under longstanding court procedures, justices hold preliminary votes on cases shortly after argument and assign a member of the majority to write a draft of the court’s opinion. The draft is often amended in consultation with other justices, and in some cases the justices change their votes altogether, creating the possibility that the current alignment on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization could change.

The chief justice typically assigns majority opinions when he is in the majority. When he is not, that decision is typically made by the most senior justice in the majority.

As a result of this outrage at attacking reproductive rights of women and advocating against abortions as a result of rape, incest and physical limitations against carrying a full-term pregnancy, apparently repukes have opened the door for SCOTUS to be expanded in a effort to dilute their seditious hold on SCOTUS. This as a result of rendering SCOTUS as a tRump poisoned atrocity of incompetency and hostility on democracy and the rights of women.
