Sea level is already guaranteed to rise by 5 feet, climate scientist says

It's not too late to be on the right side of history! The climate is clearly, indisputably the biggest issue facing mankind.

There is no Planet B. We need to protect our home.

Yet sea level rise remains obstinately linear for the most part. In fact Antarctica has been cooling for several decades.

We dont understand what is going on, and we are not remotely smart enough to change what is going on, but something is and we best do our best to learn, as well get ready for weather changes as best we can. We need to put our energy into learning and becoming more resilient, these half baked "save the planet" schemes are the product of inferior people.

Plus or minus how much exactly? If it's minus 2 feet then it is not guaranteed to rise by 5 feet. Another dumbell article where the body contradicts the headline. :palm:

These so called climate scientists have been making false predictions for decades.

Fucking illiterate. 5 feet “plus or minus” doesn’t mean minus 2 feet. It means 5 feet plus or minus some.

No shit moron. That's exactly the point. Is it plus or minus and how many feet, illiterate cunt? Oh wait, you're that retard who doesn't comprehend the word "if". :rofl2:

That fucker Benjamin Strauss has been banging on about this for a decade or more. He's a climate alarmist of the worst kind. He holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University, an M.S. in Zoology from the University of Washington, and a B.A. in Biology from Yale University but nothing remotely connected to climate science.

All the disciplines are connected in opposition to you and your Denial mobsters, maggot. You should turn your limited knowledge to enhancing your personal Viagra stocks.

“Plus or minus” is a general term that means “ more or less”. It’s a colloquialism, moron.

Still waiting for idiots like you to give me an actual “if/could/would”. You’ve failed there, too.

Fucking clown

Based on the amount of greenhouse gases humans have already added to the Earth’s atmosphere, the world is guaranteed to experience approximately 5 feet of sea level rise in the coming decades, climate scientist Benjamin Strauss told “The Climate Crisis Podcast.”

“It’s in that range, you know, 5 feet plus or minus. And that’s because we’ve already warmed the planet by around 2 degrees Fahrenheit, 1.1 Celsius,” Strauss, the president and CEO of Climate Central, a nonprofit that tries to educate policymakers and the public about the threats posed by climate change, told Yahoo News. “Think of it this way: If I dumped a truckload of ice in the middle of Phoenix, we’d all know it’s going to melt. But it takes time to melt.

And the same thing is true for the big ice sheets on Greenland and Antarctica and glaciers around the world. We turned up the thermostat. We’ve already heated the planet by a couple degrees, but they’ve only begun to respond by melting. And that’s why we have all this extra sea level in the pipeline and it’s, it’s enough, I’m afraid to say, it’s hard to imagine the long-term future of South Florida, let’s say, right, with the sea level that’s already in the pipeline.”

I'm well aware of what plus or minus means halfwit. It means it could be the number given or it could be somewhat more than that number or somewhat less. If it's somewhat less, as was stated as a possibility, a 5 foot rise is not guaranteed as the headline purports. I'll add "guaranteed" to the list of common words you don't comprehend, fucking fool. :rofl2:
