There are any number of people I think would make a decent president...some with a better chance of winning a national election than others.

I would not mind Liz Cheney (arch conservative though she is) as president. The former mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu would be a decent candidate. Pete Buttigieg is a possibility.

I most assuredly am not one with the libertarians...although the party once asked me to be its candidate for a local council seat. I suspect they did so because of my outspoken position on marijuana use...at a time when that was deemed taboo. I declined...and ran as an Independent.

I think Mitch could put together a decent campaign. He does not seem to want the job, though, or at least, he does not want it the way it must be wanted to be a candidate.

I do not know enough about O'Malley to take a position on him.
