If Barron didn't have the grades nor the extracurricular activity to get into Harvard then he's not getting in. Of course he would have to apply to get rejected and there's also no indication he ever applied. It's all speculative.

DT probably wants the prestige of having a child in Harvard. DT has always been rejected by 'old money.' He's too crass for them. They don't want the attention of the public. They just want their money and power. DT has exposed all of that, given billionaires a bad name.

DT could have cheated for Barron and come up with bogus documentation if he cared about him enough for that.

But it seems Barron has only one parent and she doesn't like cheating. (And she knows about cheating.)

No indication Barron cares. He already knows he never has to work a day in his entire life. He was probably told he has to go to college. It may not even be what he really wants to do. But he will realize sooner or later he has to grow up. Donald never did; but Barron is Barron, not Donald. Barron doesn't seem to want public attention. I bet he would like to have friends. It's what he really needs. That's probably his biggest motivation to go to college. It's understandable it's going to be difficult for him, being a forced notoriety living in the shadows of a such a public figure.
