Harvard is the big target in Trump's attempt to control education. If he can beat them into submission, he thinks the rest will cave. Trump is very bigoted. He does not care about Jewish students. However, he is not above using them to achieve his goals.
Controlling education is part of establishing the oligopoly. They want to stay in power and not have dissent.

We know trump dreamed of being an entertainment lawyer, but could not get into law school. My theory is he is still angry at Harvard Law School for laughing at his application.
