Select your Candidate

I'll let the experts check in on that . It could just mean you're "racially insensitive" which is the big buzz phrase these days.

Thanks. I like being called racially insensitive better than an old fashion racist.

I'm in 100% agreement with Paul on Iraq, and of course rank it as a top issue with me.

Paul scored low for me however, because he's the ideological opposite of me on all the domestic issues: abortion, universal healthcare, social security, etc

Right. I bet that Universal health care is another place where Tiana scored with him. Poor Tiana. ;)

RP was my first and Kucinich was my second. Go figure. I'm crushed and confused. What if I'm an in the closet repugnican?

Maybe it depends how you rank the issues.

I think Ron Paul is nominally anti-abortion. I rank that issue very high, and selccted the "pro-choice" option.

And apparently you're a closet socialist. :tongout:
Apparently.

The test reeks, honestly. I couldn't stand Kucinich as President.

However, it does show me that there are very few I agree strongly with as nobody scored as high as I see others.

Shoot, R. Paul scored as high for me as he did for Darla and he was the first selection.

Ha I doubt it reassures Tiana that my top 2 were the same.

LadyT, we're practically ideological siblings.

Damo stop trying to give yourself street cred around here by acting like me and you have so much in common. First of all, you speak chinese and I speak english.

Right. I bet that Universal health care is another place where Tiana scored with him. Poor Tiana. ;)

It was taxes, iraq, immigration and yes health care that did me in.

BTW - any thoughts on politicians that don't want a line item veto? I'm going to keep my eye out, but my political intuition is telling me that if you don't support it you've got an agenda that doesn't line up with responsible fiscal spending and that said politician has benefited from the all or nothing model. I know you all care so I'll share: this may be another litmus test for me.

I have no opinion on that issue either way. I left it blank, and clicked "low importance". To me, it really depends on who is president. Think about what bush could have done with that. Of course, he just used "signing statements" for the same effect.

I think the test is pretty good. Dodd, Edwards and Kucinich were good compatible choices for me.

I have no idea how you got Kucinich to rank second. I know you said you ranked importance differently, but so many of the question were tied to abortion, death penatly, universal healthcare etc, I don't understand how you got Kucinich ranked up in second place.

Maybe you screwed up on the test? ;)

Or maybe I think they are lower in priority than you do.

Well, the test was in English, so there is no telling what the f happened when Damo tried to take it!
