Google is your friend, geezer. Yes, this stuff happened in the 70s and 80s. What we didn't have was the Internet and near-instant mass communications.

So there was a total of 22 in all of the 80s 2.2 per year.... and 19 in all of the 70s 1.9 per year
There was 18 in 2019 alone...one year compared to 10 years
Something has changed and its not guns...they were around in 70s 80s and u could buy one at a dealer with no computer background check etc
