My children, the ONLY ones to which I had that responsibility didn't go without. That's because the one that had the responsibility to feed them did so.

Your assumption that unplanned pregnancies wouldn't occur works off the premise that people use such things as they should. How many women became pregnant because the sperm donor refused to wear a condom but she still let him stick it to her? How many women have become pregnant because they forgot to take a birth control pill?
