Simple Math ("Stupid")

K i will give up on this then.

Give up meaning what? Do you see now that the article stated it was 75% out of all his votes and it does not include the missed votes?

They have a list of all in the House and the percent they vote with their party. It's in the same link. They use the same criteria for all in the House. When they voted, how many times did they vote with their party.

Nope and as I told cawacko I am outa here on this....
My final answer ( locked in ) is Paul is an insignificant blip in the presidential election and is not worthy of further consideration.

Boy is that a good point. Paul is an insignificant blip going nowhere, and fast. Yet somehow the little bug-eyed fucker has managed to cause more trouble on this board...

And anyway, you already "got into" Cawacko's head, so why go further? LOL

Dangit. The picture! Cleanse it from my mind!

Yeah, yesterday you said you were man enough to admit when you made a mistake. Now when you've been shown that mistake you try to spin your way out of it by saying Ron Paul is not important and you quite.

It was never about Ron Paul. It was about the reading comprehension.

You are taking this way too seriously, Cawacko.

It's so unlike Cawacko. It's something about usc that drives him crazy, kinda like SF with Cypress. (which also cracks me up, but maybe not so much Cypress, you see?) I don't see it in either of those cases, but it's as I always say, it's something going on with the other person, you can't take it personally.

This is true. But you just know, we're going to see thread after thread after thread, about a guy who couldn't poll 1% in the national polls. :cof1:

cypress and I used to have these moments far more often than we do now, back in the p.com days.

Maybe I am. I readily admit I'm not that smart and will never claim to be an intellectual. But I did graduate from college and when I'm actually doing my job and not spending time on this board I'm underwriting tens of millions of dollars worth of real estate so I can understand percentages and what the article said. Then I have some freakin idiot call me stupid because he can't understand basic English?

Then he claims he will man up and admit when he makes a mistake and instead bitches out?

You are right I am overreacting and I apologize (and please pardon my French) but f*ck him and his b*tch ass.

Well, I prefer you spending time on the board....

:D

Would someone please be so kind as to explain to me how this below means that Ron Paul voted with the Republicans 75% out of 80% of the time. (This is not a partisan question. It is a reading comprehension and math question.)

This is information that was provided ealier in the article... "Ron Paul has missed 169 votes (20.0%) during the current Congress."

Here is the statement...

"Ron Paul has voted with a majority of his Republican colleagues 75.0% of the time during the current Congress. This percentage does not include votes in which Paul did not vote."

Thank you.

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/p000583/

75% of 80% is 60%. Therefore, out of 100 votes Paul voted Repub 60 times, missed 20 and voted against the Repubs 20 times. The statement is accurate.

Cawacko, you are smart, don't say that about yourself.

There is something about usc that gets to you for some reason, maybe he reminds you of your father? LMAO. That's what Prak would say. Look how bad he used to ride you and you never reacted like this.

But anyway, we all have people who get under our skin, I happen to be fond of usc and think he's great, but we all have our one person...or in some cases, our 30 people. The point is, you don't have to put yourself down intellectually, I don't think you're stupid. Incredibly misguided, but not stupid.

What are you talking about? I think I blew up on you maybe twice in , what, three years? .

And I'm not the type of dude that holds a grudge, or hates people. We were always back to being pals within 24 hours. :clink:

dagnabit! it was about not reading the whole paragraph!
I understood it fully when I went back and read the enitre paragraph.
I have apologized all I intend to over that oversight.
And obviiously more than I should have ;)

Darla you beginning to understand mine and cawackos incompatibility ?

Usually.

DrWho used to really hate it when I kept bringing up his anti-semitism. Fricking weird for a lefty to be so anti-jew. It was just plain odd.

All those stories he found from some of those sites... Geez, had to clean my eyes after clicking the links.... about Jews in Moving Vans... You could almost hear sinister music playing in the background.

Umm right, but you might want to look thru pauls missed vote list....
there are a few in there that .....

Look through it and you will see the great bulk of them are since the start of his presidential campaign. I know Paul does not defer to staffers or anyone else (his donors) in deciding his vote. My guess, is that since he has not had time to review the bills he has chosen to abstain.

Thank you Darla and I was LOL because my old man did ride me but he also has a PhD and he was riding me from a level I won't get to intellectually.

I thought this comment was funny (I may be the only one). He was at an event where Alan Greenspan spoke recently. I asked him how it was, the first thing my old man says to me, 'no matter how smart you think you are there is always someone (much) smarter'. I guess Greenspan blew him away with his talk (and knowledge).

we were fine with it last night but then you said you figured it out and you then were saying the same thing that you had said before when you admitted you were mistaken. So then we were back to square one.

Yeah, see the thing about Prak, is that he is usually right, though don't worry, I never admitted it to him.

Your dad has a phd? He must be really smart.
