Jussie Smollett isn't getting off because he is innocent. He is not innocent. He is something better than innocent. He is famous. The charges against him were dropped because someone in power called someone else in power and said, "Let him go." None of this had anything to do with justice. It's the opposite of justice.
 
You have no reason to think he was let go by a higher level cop. They may have merely seen the case was not strong enough and did not want to waste time and money on it. Why do you always post like you know something as a fact, when you NEVER do?

He is not that rich or that famous. I don't see where he would derive a break. In America, it is better to be rich and guilty than be poor and innocent.

I would like a teabagger to explain to me the persistent, dogged, almost obsessive rightwing fixation on a minor and relatively obscure television actor I never even heard of three months ago.

I mean, it's not like there is a dearth of interesting and important topics to discuss.

The evidence shows Zimmerman shot that piece of shit in self-defense. The evidences shows Smollett faked a hate crime. Politics pushed Zimmerman into court. Politics kept Smollett out of court.

That's bullshit. Poor black criminals are routinely allowed to walk free while rich white criminals are punished.
