I'm interested to see the polling later this week after the #MangoMarieAntoinette ran to SCOTUS to prevent disbursement of SNAP benefits. I suspect it is not going to look great for the Republikkkans, who are already being blamed by the majority of citizens for the government shut-down.

$6.2 billion by preventing illegal immigrants and other non-citizens like refugees from receiving comprehensive Medicaid. (Section 71109 of the BBB.)
$5.1 billion by preventing illegal immigrants and other non-citizens from receiving Medicare benefits for elderly people. (Section 71201 of the BBB.)
In total, these figures amount to $193 billion that the Democrat bill would give to illegal immigrants and other non-citizens over the next 10 years. This is 13% of the $1.5 trillion that Democrats are demanding in exchange for keeping the government open for just one month.


The big ticket item is expanded Medicaid. That is, "free" health insurance / care for persons unable or unwilling to buy an Obamacare policy that meet a minimum income threshold. Note, that it is almost entirely BLUE states that went 'all in' on expanded Medicaid. Few red states chose to adopt the plan because they saw it would be unsustainable without massive tax increases in the long run. Blue, Democrat, states expected the subsidies to eventually be made permanent, as the Democrats have wanted and Schumer does now, but it isn't happening.

Thus, the Democrats are in a panic over the coming crash and burn their states will be in over the failure of Obamacare and why they're demanding $1.5 trillion in new spending.

You do realize that every single health insurance policy in this nation is subsidized? EVERY SINGLE ONE.

And you have to love the irony of Congress getting their health insurance, while denying same for others. They pay 25% of the cost of their policies. Now THAT's what I call a subsidy.

Heh, good point. Last year and the three before that, the Toxic Twatmuffin was screeching all across the forum that poor people were starving because Biden. It was amazing how, by Nov. 10th, 2024, everything was suddenly fine. We were instructed to "just shop the sales" when anyone complained this year how prices are still rising.

By "monitor," you mean "intimidate voters," don't you? What do you want to be that 1) he's hoping for violence to break out so he can try to invalidate the election, and 2) these reaction forces will only be staged in precincts that typically vote for (D)s?
