Most Americans don't. However, that doesn't mean I should pay more for mine or higher taxes so they can. It falls under the mindset of not my problem.
As to your question, yes. Plenty of people that support those favoring socialist programs are the ones that vote for a living and keep those in office that hand those leeches someone else's money.

One usually has to spend quite a bit of money on all the stuff they give away at Christmas. Only Part A is primarily funded through FICA. Parts B&D are primarily funded out of the general budget, premiums, and taxes on social security benefits.

Just how many Americans are incapable of paying for their own food? Over 40 million use food stamps. Since they can't meet that basic need, it's logical to say they can't meet their healthcare needs either.
