No doubt you've heard that a .22 was a favored assassination weapon by the OSS and the Mafia. Small, more concealable and placing a .22 on the skin behind an ear not only helps minimize noise (along with a simple silencer) but the bullet enters the skull and just rattles around in there like a marble in a cage. Very lethal and effective.

What shoots it accurately, though? Idk about a hog with a .22..It has been done with .17 (BB caliber) HMR though.

Anything less than .30 risks having to run after and hunt it down....even if only for humanitarian reason.

Accuracy at 100 yards or less is excellent. The 7.62 has a better chance of downing it than a .223 if both are off the heart or brain.

If going for 200-500 yards, I have 30-06, 7.62x51 and X54R options. In the North Texas brush, the SKS (or an AK) is great. It’s not like Democrat Nanny State laws where they seek to make One-Size-Fits-All legislation. Different rounds and weapons for different situations.
