Some are still in the dark on Obama

Where does Dixie get the gall to say things were done "your way" when every social program was picked apart and opposed from day one and are still being opposed. SS, for example. He and others talk about diluting and/or privatizing SS when SS was private since the beginning of time! It's because private didn't work that the government had to step in.

It's no wonder Obama told the Repubs not to come to the table with tired, worn out ideas. Everything was private before the government took it over. Some folks talk as if programs have always been government run and say, "Let's try to privatize part of it. Let's let free enterprise look after part or all of it, whatever "it" may be. It's like they have no knowledge of history.

Private, free enterprise, capitalism, left to ones own devices....whatever term they want to use....had literally thousands of years to come up with something and it failed miserably but they keep on repeating it. :palm:

What's amazing is he level of denial by dupes like Dixie....if SocSec were indeed privatized in the last few years like they advocate, then all the savings for retirement (and indeed their financial future)would have been pissed down the drain in the recent financial scandals and screw-ups! But rather than admit such, they'll concoct all types of fantastic scenarios to avoid this simple fact.

You do realize that the injection into VN, and the build up were both done by demo's right?

No shit sherlock, and if I had MY way, it wouldn't have happened. But your buddy swears that ALL democrats and liberals endorse such policies as a matter of personal political ideology....pure supposition and conjecture on his part, given the history of the subsequent protests, but that is NOT unusual for Dixie.

You see, this is one of the reasons following Socialists never works. It simply doesn't matter how big of a failure it is, they always claim it failed because we didn't pour enough money into it, not because the idea itself was a failure. This defense enables them to support virtually ANY idiotic idea, and once implemented, if it succeeds (which it rarely has) they claim brilliance, and if it fails (most likely), it's all the opposition's fault that it wasn't funded enough.

Through the years, Democrats have enjoyed far more supermajorities in Congress than Republicans, and at any one of those times, could have funded as much as they pleased, and Republicans couldn't have stopped them. And in fact, that is precisely what Democrats have done. Despite this fact, the socialistic ideas have still failed, and we still hear the same complaints about it not being funded well enough. We can implement the ideas, do exactly as they want, we can give them full control over Congress, give them funding out the wazoo, and they can continue these policies for 70 years, dumping trillions and trillions into them, then Democrats can look you straight in the eye and claim we haven't done enough.

That's just for starters. The New Deal SAVED this country's ass, and stupid neocon flunkies like YOU, who BENEFIT from those reforms every single day of your life, are too proudly dumb and stubborn to acknowledge such.

But that has NOT been the case, has it bunky. So once again, your Dixie dumb ass is just blowing smoke...

Ahhh, but the devil is in the details! We've done this dance, Bravo...your myopic view just doesn't cut it when ALL the facts are present:

The REALITY is that GOP, neocons and teabaggers want Obama to do better than the Shrub in 4 years while EXTENDING the very policies that have accented our economic problems in the last 8 years! That's just plain silly.
