Speaker of the House - ”we don’t live in a democracy.”

The magas know their ideas suck and they'll never win the majority's hearts and minds, so why not just declare Democracy a bad idea in the first place? The trump team was almost successful in doing just that.

With so many saying it, you know it came from some Republican focus group.

We are a republic. We are also a representative democracy.

How big of an idiot do you have to be to not understand we are and can be both. They are not mutually exclusive.

Franklin understood we can vote to keep our republic.

we democratically elect our representatives to serve in our republic, that does not make us a democracy. we simply use SOME democratic principles.

snicker

Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government

JFC shit stains.

The above about perfectly measures MAGA intelligence. I guess you would agree that if the Democratic Party renamed itself "The Much Better Republican Party" it would be truer to American principles than a party that called itself just a plain "Republican Party".

So all those American troops who died fighting to save democracy were tricked and died for nothing?

The most important question here is when did the Republican party and why did the Republican Party decide to claim America is NOT a Democracy?

"We do not live in a Democracy."

Wait a minute, did you sober up for the first time in decades?

You finally figured out that we are a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy....

Next thing we know, you might even favor freedom of speech...

no one is an atheist in person......they hide in a closet like the gays used to.....

I'm not an Atheist, I lack the faith to be one. But I'm agnostic here, agnostic in person, agnostic at work, wherever.

Are you saying that some coerce Atheists to the point that they hide their faith? Maybe in Iran or Saudi Arabia - certainly not in America.

Where does the word republic appear in the US Constitution referring to the federal form of government? Since it doesn't appear, does that mean the US isn't a republic?

ROFL

You are a Maoist - hence you have never read the United States Constitution.

Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of , and shall protect each of them against Invasion

Article I, Section 1: All legislative s herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
James Madison annotated: "
In a representative republic, where the executive magistracy is carefully limited"

I am guessing you don't know what the word "elect" means which is used multiple times in describing how the government will work. The writers of the Constitution were well aware of what and how a representative democracy works. They were also aware that they were setting up a representative democracy. I have posted examples of them making that argument.

I'm guessing you make shit up that you think will further the agenda of your party though you have not a hint of a clue about the facts behind the subject.

The ENTIRITY of the idiocy you Borg spew about "democracy" is due to the lust of your Reich to disenfranchise 47 states by ending the Electoral College.

All the moronic lies Jarod and you other drones spew is about attacking the EC so the massive urban centers in California and New York can dictate the presidency with no involvement by the rest of the union.

No American died for any democracy. The United States was never a democracy. There is no 'when'.

Redundant. A republic is government by law. In other words, a constitution. To say 'constitutional republic' is redundant.
